Custom kitchens, wardrobes and joinery for the Central Coast - designed, built and installed with over 12 years of local experience
Central Coast Custom Cabinets designs and builds made-to-measure kitchens for homes from Gosford and Erina through to Terrigal, The Entrance and the Wyong growth corridor. Steve Smith has spent more than twelve years fitting kitchens to real Central Coast homes, whether that is a tired galley in an established Woy Woy cottage or a full island layout in a new Kariong build. Every kitchen is measured in your home, drawn to your space and built in our workshop before our own team installs it. We specify moisture-resistant board for busy wet zones, soft-close hinges and runners, and finishes chosen to suit coastal and lakeside living. Because engineered stone is now banned nationally, we guide you toward compliant benchtops such as natural stone, porcelain, laminate or solid timber. Book a free measure and quote.

Central Coast Custom Cabinets
We build kitchens to suit every kind of Central Coast home, so the layout follows your space rather than a fixed module range. Galley and L-shaped kitchens work well in older Woy Woy and East Gosford cottages, while open U-shaped and island layouts suit the larger new builds around Wyong and Kariong. Butler's pantries and appliance garages are popular with families and downsizers who want the mess kept out of sight. For beach and lakeside homes near Terrigal, Umina Beach and Long Jetty, we lean toward relaxed, light coastal finishes and practical storage. Two-tone doors, shaker profiles and handleless designs are all on the table. We tailor drawer banks, pantry pull-outs and corner solutions to how you actually cook.

Every kitchen starts with a free in-home measure so the design fits your walls, floors and services exactly, not a standard box. We build the carcasses and doors in our own workshop, then our team installs them on site across the Coast. For hard-working wet zones around the sink and dishwasher we specify HMR (moisture-resistant) board, which handles day-to-day splashes better than standard board, though no material is truly waterproof. Doors can be melamine, laminate, timber veneer or a durable 2-pac finish depending on your budget and look. We fit quality soft-close hinges and runners as standard, the kind of hardware brands such as Blum and Hettich are known for. Benchtops are arranged through licensed stonemasons or suppliers in compliant materials, since we do not work with engineered stone.
Central Coast Custom Cabinets
Steve Smith has designed and built custom cabinetry across the Central Coast for more than twelve years, so you deal with the person doing the work, not a call centre. Every quote is fixed and itemised after a free measure, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before anything is ordered. We are fully insured with $20 million public liability, and we install with our own team rather than subcontracting the finish. Because we are based in Gosford, warranty and after-care are handled locally, not from a Sydney warehouse an hour down the M1. We stand behind our workmanship, and manufacturer warranties apply to the hardware and materials we fit. It means a kitchen made to measure for your home and looked after close to home.

Kitchen pricing depends on the size of the room, the materials and finishes you choose, the hardware and how much your site needs changing, so every figure here is a guide only. A compact renovation kitchen in an established Gosford or Woy Woy home generally starts in the lower range, while a large island kitchen with a butler's pantry in a new Kariong or Wyong build sits well above it. Door finish makes a big difference, with laminate and melamine the value options and timber veneer or 2-pac at the premium end. Benchtop choice also moves the price, since compliant options such as laminate, natural stone and porcelain vary widely. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after measuring, so you are comparing real numbers, not a rough phone estimate. That way you can adjust the scope before you commit.

The nearest flat-pack showrooms are in Sydney, roughly an hour-plus down the M1 at Tempe and Rhodes, which means self-measuring, self-assembly and a drive each way. A custom kitchen from us is measured and fitted to your actual walls, which matters in older Central Coast homes where corners are rarely square. You also get a wider choice of materials and finishes than a fixed flat-pack range, including coastal-appropriate options for homes near the water. Installation is handled by our own team, so there is no flat-pack assembly or chasing missing parts. And because we are local, any adjustment or warranty question is a short trip, not a return drive to Sydney. For odd or dated layouts especially, a bespoke fit usually works out better than forcing standard modules to fit.
Made-to-measure built-in wardrobes for Central Coast bedrooms, with internal layouts designed around what you store. Sliding or hinged doors, soft-close drawers and quality hanging, built in our workshop and fitted by our own team.
Commercial joinery and shopfitting across the Central Coast - reception counters, retail displays, bar and service joinery for Erina Fair retail, Gosford offices and Terrigal hospitality. Hardwearing materials, fixed quote, install around your trading hours.
Bespoke storage built for the way you live - under-stair cupboards, mudrooms, home offices, media walls and linen presses, measured and installed across the Central Coast by our own team, with soft-close hardware and a free quote.

It starts with a free in-home visit anywhere on the Central Coast. Steve measures your space accurately, listens to how you want to use it and talks through layout, materials and finishes that suit your home and budget. You then receive a fixed, itemised quote and an agreed design, so you know exactly what is being built and what it costs before you commit.

Once the design is signed off, your cabinetry is made to measure in our workshop here on the Coast. We cut and assemble to your exact dimensions, using moisture-resistant board for wet areas, quality soft-close hardware and the finishes you have chosen. Building locally means we can keep a close eye on quality and adjust for the real quirks of your room rather than a standard template.

Our own team delivers and installs your cabinetry, fitting, levelling and adjusting everything on site for a clean, square finish. We work tidily, protect your home while we go and check every door, drawer and soft-close before we leave. Because we handle the install ourselves, there is one team accountable for the result from first measure to final fit.
Yes. For beach and lakeside homes around Terrigal, Umina Beach, The Entrance and Long Jetty we specify moisture-resistant board in wet zones and quality hardware that copes better with a salt-air, humid setting. We also match finishes to a relaxed coastal look if that suits your home. No board or finish is fully waterproof, so we focus on sensible material choices and good ventilation around the sink and dishwasher.
Absolutely, and it is a lot of what we do. Established homes around Gosford, East Gosford and Woy Woy often have odd or dated layouts where standard modules simply do not fit. Because we measure and build to your space, we can work around existing services, uneven walls and awkward corners. We can also discuss keeping or replacing your benchtop and appliances to suit your budget.
No. The manufacture, supply and installation of engineered stone is banned across Australia from 1 July 2024, with imports prohibited from 1 January 2025, due to the silicosis risk to workers. We do not fabricate, supply or fit it. Instead we guide you toward compliant benchtops such as natural stone, porcelain, laminate, solid timber or stainless steel, usually arranged through licensed stonemasons.
A flat-pack means self-measuring, self-assembly and a drive of an hour or more down the M1 to Sydney. A custom kitchen is measured in your home and built to fit your walls, with a wider choice of materials and finishes. Our own team installs it, and because we are based in Gosford, any adjustment or warranty question is handled locally. For older or non-standard layouts, a bespoke fit usually gives a better result.
It depends on the size and complexity of the kitchen, so we give a realistic lead time once we have measured and finalised the design. As a general guide, allow a number of weeks from approval to installation, since doors, hardware and benchtops are ordered to your specification. Benchtop templating and fitting by the stonemason adds a step after the cabinets go in. We keep you posted on timing at each stage.
We come to your home, measure the space and talk through layout, materials, finishes and hardware. You then receive a fixed, itemised quote so you can see exactly what is included before committing to anything. There is no charge or obligation for this visit. If you want to adjust the scope to suit your budget, we can revise the quote before any work is ordered.
